[Bcna-announce] BCNA and City Council January 4

Dear Neighbors,
Happy New Year!
We will start this new year by looking at a new noise ordinance for the
Neighborhood Commercial Corridor. The current acceptable level is at 75 Db
24 hours a day. The proposition by NDS is to lower that level to 55 Db after
11PM.
This will be a useful tool to help residents deal with loud noises late at
night.
If you support this proposition please attend this weeks City Council
Meeting at 7PM.
See attached agenda for more details.

The dues money is currently being held by Julia Williams. I am waiting to
receive a tax id number from the Fed to open a new bank account. The bank
account we had was under an individual's social security number of someone
who is not involved anymore.
Anson Parker, has offered to update and streamline our website for free. He
doesn't live in our neighborhood but has offered to help, out of the blue.
He's a real wiz on the computer. Hopefully it won't take him long to get it
together. In the meantime, I have set up a fan site on Facebook. If you feel
that this is a format on the internet that will help us communicate better

I believe you need to be a member to interact. It will archive  contacts and
discussions to keep everyone on the same page.

Please come and show your support for the neighborhood at the planning
commission meeting this Monday, Jan. 4th.
