Here is information concerning board and commission appointments by City
Council.  For an application please call Jeanne Cox at 970-3113 or e-mail
coxj at charlottesville.org.  Preference is given to residents of the City of
Charlottesville or may be required.  The deadline for receipt of
applications is Thursday, June 11, 2009.

Applications are being accepted for the following boards and commissions
appointed by City Council:

    - Charlottesville-Albemarle Commission on Children and Families

         (citizen and youth representative)
   - Charlottesville Sister City Commission (citizen at large and citizen
      representing sister city relationship with Poggio a Caiano, Italy)
      - Community Development Block Grant Task Force (Rose Hill

            Neighborhood Representative)


·       Housing Advisory Committee (banker or citizen at large)

    - Piedmont Virginia Community College Board
      - Planning Commission
      - Region Ten Community Services Board
      - Social Services Advisory Board
