Cooking in the Park will be an opportunity to see Local Chefs creating their
masterpieces right in front of your eyes. Come learn how to cook low cost
meals and sample delicious treats! Connecting people in our community and
building a stronger community is the mission of the MYN HOPE Festivals.
 HOPE looks forward to working with you to not only build community but to
have fun doing it.  Music, Free Food, Festival, Games. 11am-2pm.

*Introducing the "Meet Your Neighbor" Project sponsored by the Hope
Community Center*,

     This summer the Hope Community Center is running a collaborative series
of community events called "Meet Your Neighbor" that will take place on
Saturdays from June 20th-August 22nd (11am-2pm) in parks across
Charlottesville. The project, the innovative idea of three University of
Virginia undergraduates, seeks to connect the community by first reaching
out to individual neighborhoods. Each "Meet Your Neighbor" event seeks to
foster a festival type atmosphere with free music, fun, and games as well as
opportunities for neighbors in the area to learn about the services provided
by local non-profit organizations. We are encouraging members of our
community from all backgrounds to join us this summer in giving Hope a hand! To
learn more about the "Meet Your Neighbor" Project visit the Hope Community
