*City Announces Road Closures for Saturday’s Dogwood Parade*

*CHARLOTTESVILLE**, VIRGINIA** – *In anticipation of the annual Dogwood
Festival Parade this Saturday, April 25th in Downtown Charlottesville the
following road closures were announced today:



*McIntire Road** from Preston Avenue to Harris Street* – CLOSED from 6:00am
– 1:30pm
*Staging area for bands and floats*



*Market Street from McIntire Road to 7th Street* – CLOSED from 10:30am –
1:30pm

*Parade Route*



*7th Street** from Market Street to High Street* – CLOSED from 10:30am –
1:30pm

*Parade Route*



*High Street from 7th Street to McIntire Road* – CLOSED from 10:30am –
1:30pm

*Parade Route*



Vehicular traffic will be significantly restricted in many downtown
residential and commercial areas during these times. To avoid being blocked
in or towed, residents and visitors are advised to find alternative parking
and routes beginning Friday evening due to the parade.  Signs will be posted
at the appropriate times to give notice of the above restrictions.
